In 24Metrics AdSecurity Platform users can decide between a reporting only mode and active blocking of clicks. The reporting only mode is also referred to as "monitoring mode". The Feature gives users the ability to see what the filters would block if it was set in active mode.
A typical use case is to get familiar with the platform and exploring filter settings without running the risk of blocking clicks that were not intended to be blocked.
Global Monitoring Mode
To enabling monitoring on a global level go to
Integrations --> Overview and enable the monitoring mode switch.
Monitoring Mode for Custom Filter Group
In some cases it can be useful to have the clicks and conversions screened with another set of filters and values for specific publishers, offers and/or advertisers. This can now be achieved by using a Custom Filter Group (instead of the default one). Each Custom Filter Group has the Monitoring Mode available and it will override the Integration monitoring mode setting.
Note: Monitoring Mode by Custom Filter Group has a higher ranking priority than the monitoring mode on integration level. This means that the Custom Filter Group settings will be applied.
For example: if the Integration is in Monitoring Mode and the Custom Filter group is in Live Mode, the clicks will respect the filter group setting so they will be blocked based on the filter settings.
To enable Monitoring Mode by Filter Group go to > Filters
Monitoring Mode for Redirect URL integrations
The URL Redirect integration settings can be found inside the integration under the Integration Settings TAB. Here, you can set up:
- Monitoring Mode status on or off
- Integration status: Active or Not active
- Action for rejected clicks: Block or redirect to custom URL
